Our Mission |
The GVR Amigas Club is dedicated to welcoming women of Green Valley Recreation and providing opportunities to connect, learn, have fun and be involved with interest groups, events, and to make lasting friendships. Our Motto is, "We're Neighbors, Let's Be Friends." For more information, see our Code of Conduct.
EventsThe GVR Amigas Club holds two casual monthly meetings in the Santa Rita Anza Room:
Generally, food and beverages are served at both Coffee Time and Meet & Greet meetings. Each meeting also has a theme, activity, or speaker. We have three special events each year: Spring, Summer, and Fall. For more information, see Events. In addition, the GVR Amigas Club supports Green Valley community organizations throughout the year. Before becoming an Amigas Club member, a GVR member may attend two Club meetings; Coffee Time and/or Meet & Greet. GVR members must become an Amigas Club member before joining any Amigas Interest Groups. We have over 50 Interest Groups in the following categories: games, art, outdoor activities, book groups, couples, healthy living, theatre, singles, wine, dining out, and more. The Amigas welcomes all Club members to volunteer five hours a year, as we are a women-led, all-volunteer club. For details, see the Interest Group Booklet. |
